Field Facilities

Saab has a proven record in supplying completely packaged multi-function field facilities and camp sites for armed forces.

Acting as integrator and prime contractor, Saab and its trusted partners have experience in camp construction for several international missions. Although all our Field Facilities are customisable to specific requirements, these facilities can be categorised into three basic stages; quick response, temporary and long-term. These types are not mutually exclusive, and customers can combine the three stages as needs dictate.

The camp solution can provide scalable accommodation for up to 2000 personnel and can include airfields, headquarters as well as ammunition storage and protection. Essentially, the entire infrastructure, both operational and living aspects, or conveniently packaged in one solution.

Saab’s Medical Care System is a scalable and modular medical facilities system. The systems main components include a surgical theatre, intensive care unit, trauma unit, multifunctional unit and dental care unit.

Saab has equipped this solution with medical equipment commonly used in civilian health care and hospitals, which means that any drafted personnel from civilian hospitals can be deployed rapidly, as there will be no need for additional training.

Saab can provide services from communications networks and surveillance to catering and fire suppression. As well as providing all the necessary structures, equipment and technology, Saab offers the logistical and technical support required to ensure a successful overseas operation.
